How we work

Most of our work comes from repeat customers. We earn it with hands-on management and jobs that close out clean.

Hands-on management

Direct owner involvement and quick decisions. Our Project Manager and Field Superintendent stay with the job from mobilization to punch list.

Quality control from day one

Preconstruction review of plans, specs and submittals, routine inspections of our work and our subcontractors', and documented corrections.

Self-performed and coordinated

Our own field crew on selected trades, backed by qualified subcontractors and suppliers.

Bilingual on site

English and Spanish from the office to the field, so instructions and safety briefings land with everyone.

Our company

Marcos Lopez founded Ingenium Constructors Group in 2018 after more than 20 years in construction. He worked his way up as an apprentice, journeyman, foreman, estimator and project manager before starting his own company.

Our first contract was a renovation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego: new framed walls, terrazzo tile flooring, acoustical ceilings and painting. Since then we have grown into VA renovations, fire separation, HVAC, millwork and repair work for federal and commercial customers.

We are based in Chula Vista and focus on Southern California, and we take on projects in other western states when the job is the right fit.
